High mechanical quality of carbon nano/microfiber is produced from asphaltenes and petroleum coke using our innovative technology.
The increased demand for lower-weight carbon fiber composites in automotive applications is forcing the carbon fiber industry towards the development of high-quality inexpensive carbon fiber using inexpensive and highly abundant feedstocks. The development team in Carbon OxyTech has converted the residual feedstocks into carbon fiber using new innovated technology after solubilizing the feedstock in water. Those solubilized materials have a viscosity similar to water and are easily transported through pipelines as feeds for microfiber production.
